I was skeptical that the tableau was actually meant to mimic the Last Supper, until I saw how you presented them one above the other. The similarity is striking. In any case, the message was clear, with or without the allusion to Da Vinci's painting.

Thank you, Pastor Mike, for your powerful and persuasive words! Sacred symbols matter and are worth defending.

Thanks! Sacred symbols are indeed important and how we treat them says much about our true convictions.

How can every Christian and true Follower of Jesus Christ not be horrifically offended by this incredibly aggregious display of vulagarity? Who could willing standby and watch someone they so dearly love be mocked in such a deplorable, disrespectful way?

I will admit this much, their power appears to be in their ability of shock and awe. However, this is where it starts and this is also where it ends. Their power does not compare with the Power of our Almighty God who needs no help defending His Power and Authority. I cringe at the audacity of anyone who dares to tempt and test Him. This instantly changes my response from one of anger and deep desire to defend to one of great sadness for the firm grip that Satan clearly has on their hearts and minds. I am deeply concerned for their souls and praying for God to forgive them and help them to repent while they still have time. God help us all.

On point as usual, Mike Turner. I’m glad Billy Weidow shared your post. I didn’t know it exists. I am grateful that I had the blessing of sitting under the teaching of such a fine teacher of the Word at First Baptist Church of Anne Street in Jacksonville, NC back in the early-mid 90’s. Your in depth studies were instrumental in forming a follower of Christ and not just a pew warmer. I have been blessed with teaching God’s Word in many countries on multiple continents in my life. I believe you are the cornerstone God used to accomplish that teaching mentality. I was going through a very rough divorce at the time and you taught a lesson pertaining to marriage that I have shared with soooo many people, as best I could recollect.LOL Your words stick with me to this day in my marriage to a wonderful Christian woman of 17 years now. "Where there is love there is no control. Where there is control there can be no love." May God bless you and keep you, your wonderful family, and your ministry all the days of your life.

Thank you for standing firm. So many excuses for this behavior but regardless of point of view, it was an attempt to use entertainment in a way to accept behavior against the word of God. Yes, we are to love all people and we all fall short of the glory of God but as Christian's we cannot turn a blind eye and must pray for those who consider this no more than entertainment. Christianity will not be mocked and we must stand firm in our belief.
